DANCE PROGRESSION

Blues Bootcamp - Southern-Style!

...everything that you would expect from a Sara White's BootCamp - except the location!!

We have been asked to make this more accessible for people located in the south of the country - so here goes!

Same fabulous teaching sessions, practices, individual attention and a fun, friendly atmosphere - but this time, at The Hilt, in Eastleigh (between Southampton and Winchester)

We'll be teaching over two days, and after each event we'll be heading to a freestyle locally - and we're hoping you'll join us there to practice everything you've learned!

This will be a fabulous day and a half of intense learning – and of course lots of laughter, hard work and oodles and oodles of fun!

BootCamps offer us, as teachers, the opportunity to take you, as dancers – as far as we possibly can in the space of one intense weekend.
Very exciting!!

Our Blues BootCamp is all about learning…

Learning to push beyond our comfort zone and stretch ourselves to leap from our current dance plateau with new skills, new understanding, new confidence and much more ability!

...and we’ve got lots of exciting new techniques, insights and top tips to share.

Every BootCamp is different, so it doesn’t matter how many times you attend – the program, the teaching team, the focus and the flow are always different.

We never teach from a preset programme - which means you’ll take something different from it each time. It doesn't matter how many times you attend - you will always leave with something new to work on, and lots more things to play with!

We want to share our love of Modern BluesFusion with you and equip you with all the skills and confidence that you need to enjoy this fabulous dance form – at whatever stage you have reached on your dance journey.

Our aim is to further your ability and your love of dancing musically.

We believe in working from the ground upwards. Focusing intensively on the building blocks of good technique, structure and confidence.

During the course of this BootCamp session, we will drill you on the basics and beyond. We will stretch your dancing beyond your current boundaries and open up a whole new world of movement and music for you.

We will encourage you to think, feel and dance differently, with the music as your guide and good technique to support your journey.

Our plan is to work you very hard… Whilst ensuring you have a whole heap of fun doing so!

Teaching sessions will focus on the following:

  • Technique - from both a Lead and a Follow perspective
  • Musicality - how to get more from the music you dance to
  • Styling - how/when/what/wow!
  • Lead/Follow finesse
  • Musical Movement
  • Transitions
  • Spontaneous Choreography
  • And above all…. CONFIDENCE

No previous Blues experience necessary - we assume no knowledge and start from the very beginning!
